After 15 years of advertising, publishing, more advertising, marcom and all, I've learned a thing or two: I'm a start-up fanatic, I love technology, but it's all about people. Naturally, I find
myself in Web 2.0, or whatever we'll call this down the line. In fact, it's just amazing how much my network has become part of my day-to-day life, even though my companies are generally selling to businesses, not consumers.
Doesn't matter. New rules apply, turning the marketer's world upside down and I'm truly enjoying the ride. And I want to be part of the community that brings online advertising to the standards of Web 2.0.
When I first heard about the concepts of Leadtail, I couldn't help but wish the service was available right then. In the start-up world I'm operating in, money is usually tight,
and making advertising successful and cost-effective is so unlikely,you don't even want to put it in your acquisition plans anymore. Leadtail may actually change this:
It puts the promise of online advertising in the context of Web 2.0, leveraging the benefits the community offers.
